Natural things for your first aid kit

Always good to know some of the health things you can add to your medicines cabinet. So lets talk about a few today and I will be adding more.

Lets start with:

 Clove Oil

It is a numbing agent and is great for dental issues. It also has  anti-bacterial properties to stop infection in your mouth. Make sure to dilute the oil and never drink it.

Here is a how to video

Lets talk about pain relief some more

Birch Tree Sap

I talk about birch sap in my foraging post, but did you know it is an anti inflammatory?
Now you can drink it or rub it on effected area! A short video about tapping it.

But I like the tree friendly way of sapping, A bit slower. Just snip the end of a few branchs put them in a plastic bottle and secure and wait!

Here is a great resource CLICK HERE and don't laugh it does make it simple

Now a days most health food stores sell essential oils cheap

So these are a few other pain herbs.I have planted the skullcap in my yard it is a perenial worth having and can replace tobacco to. I also has a calming effect.

But some other ones great for rubs are  valerian, turmeric, poppy, willow bark, St. John's wort, angelica, motherwort, black cohosh, wild yam, lavender, cayenne, kava kava, and rose. Essential oils of pine, lavender, peppermint, cinnamon, rose, clove, frankincense, rosemary, ginger, juniper, bay and birch also are traditionally used as pain relievers and are well-documented analgesic agents. Put 10-12 drops of any one of these essential oils in one ounce of a carrier oil such as olive or coconut. Shake well and then rub into painful, swollen joints to allay pain and inflammation.

Since we talked about clover I am going with this song
